Endorsements
My Approach to Endorsements
As my campaign continues to build momentum, I have been asked about endorsements. I’m proud to have earned the official endorsement of Women Winning—an organization whose mission I deeply respect. I’m honored and grateful for their support.
I’m intentional about the endorsements I pursue. When I accept support from an organization, I want it to reflect a genuine alignment in values and vision. I deeply respect the tireless efforts of our labor unions and community-based nonprofits, and I appreciate the role endorsements can play in campaigns. That said, I am very purposefully, NOT actively seeking them out. Instead, I’m focusing on meeting individual constituents, completing questionnaires and openly sharing my policy positions so that voters know exactly where I stand and what direction I believe our city should move in.
In some cases, endorsements come with expectations or preconditions—and I’m not willing to compromise on my core beliefs for the sake of political convenience. I also find it worth noting that many endorsements are made before all candidates have even entered a race, which raises valid questions about the process.
The endorsements that matter most to me are from you, Ward 11 residents—neighbors, small business owners, and community members who know my work ethic, my values, and my commitment to service. That may not be a typical political stance, but it’s one rooted in my belief that accountability should be to the people, not to institutions.
